I'm Still Doubting
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;” Proverbs 3:5

As my headshot and the name of my business, DEVOTED TO FLOURISH, popped up on the screen, I sat in shock. For ten weeks I had worked hard, shown up, and delivered a jaw-dropping presentation. But for ten weeks I also doubted. For ten weeks I wanted to quit. I doubted my skill, my talent, and the impact I could actually make.
Landing third place in a business accelerator didn't erase the nagging voice of doubt. The celebration, unfortunately, didn't last long. The limiting beliefs and accusations crept back in. "Well, you didn't place first, not even second. You've failed so many times before — why would this be any different? Your idea doesn't even make sense. Does this even matter?"
Over the last few weeks, I've sat with the success of DEVOTED TO FLOURISH finally being validated. But I've also sat with the uncertainty and unbelief of building something I'm not only passionate about but also feel God is leading me to steward.
I'll admit, my circumstances and past disappointments tend to get the best of me. My own understanding leads me to believe this is all in vain. But my history has also taught me that I am not the one who holds the wisdom here — God is.
He is the one leading me. He is the one producing fruit in me. My job is simply to follow.
Their doubt didn't void their call — it revealed God's sufficiency in spite of it. Doubt is often a trap meant to keep you stagnant. Trust is the vehicle that moves you forward. Even if I misstep, I have faith that God will steer me in the right direction.
Whatever you are doubting today, I pray you give it to Him. Shift your focus to His strength, not your weakness. Trust Him to lead you, and commit to following.

Flourishing with you, Tamara
